Stand-up comedienne Shari Becker wanted a site that showcased her unique brand of humor and favorite color (pink), and that could function equally well as a fan site or a promotional tool to get more gigs. Her site changes often, and so a web-based administrative facility lets Shari control her own calendar, highlights, quotes, and personal journal (blog). Based on her hosting needs and the very dynamic nature of her site, Gothic Productions used Java Server Pages (JSP) integrated with a mySQL database as the core for "Shariland", all running on a Linux server.

Actor Sam Cain needed a site where he could maintain materials of interest to casting agencies and publicists, that would have a professional look with a hollywood flair, and most importantly, expressed his own personality. Gothic Productions worked with Mr. Cain to refine his original concept and produce the finished web site using .NET and C# with a SQL Server database back-end, and we're happy to say that Mr. Cain's career is moving in the right direction.

This small financial services firm needed the works-- logo, web site, and print materials. Today they needed a static site, but they're already planning for the future when they'll provide secure client information, accept client records, and integrate with other market analysis and planning tools on the web. Gothic Productions is poised to help them expand this starting point to keep pace with the growth in their organization. In our quest to never employ technology overkill, we used simple HTML and CSS for HPT Resources, making it simple to move the site to another environment or use whatever server application technology may be appropriate when HPT is ready for expansion.

Actress and Model Nicole Lennstrom wanted a web site that could serve the dual function of promoting both aspects of her career. Ms. Lennstom wanted a look and tone to her site that would give visitors a sense of her personality not just her portfolio. She supplied color choices and some short descriptions ("fun", "a bit crazy", etc.), and Gothic Productions took care of the rest. Ms. Lennstrom also has her own private administrative area that allows her to update much of her site on her own. (And if her journal is a bit out of date, that's a testiment to her busy and successful schedule!)

Independent film SWING, the last project of the late, great Nell Carter, needed a first-class site on a second-class budget. To minimize cost, SWING's Writer/Executive producer provided all written text on the site, and Gothic Productions provided occasional maintenance as new material became available. Gothic Productions produced all images, including the movie trailer, based on slides and video source material. SWING's budget dictated traditional HTML, but the clean lines and slightly retro appearence, growing organically from SWING's established logo, are well-suited to technological simplicity.

Tony-nominated writer-composer and master puppeteer Barry Keating wanted a makeover for his site promoting his work puppeteering for children's parties and events. He needed a web site that, like his puppet shows, could engage both the children and the adults in his audience. Taking inspiration from Starmites' Broadway "bolder-than-life" story of a comic book world, Gothic Productions transformed the online home of the Starmites puppets using bright colors and comic book stylings along with a dose of heavy-duty jsp and xslt to superpower the whole site.

Donie Nelson Veteran manager and seminar leader Donie Nelson didn't need online advertising; she has all the clients she wants. But she did see a need for a site that would supplement her busy calendar of speaking engagements and seminars, and provide a mechanism for communicating documents to and from her clients. In addition to making her calendar available online in real time, Gothic Productions created a private "clients only" extranet that allows each of her clients to send and receive scripts, contracts, and other material securely and privately, building a "file library" in the process.

Pefekt Productions Perfekt Productions has a hand in just about every aspect of the entertainment industry from writing to event planning to costuming. A recent client of Gothic Productions for the redesign of their logo and print materials (business cards, letterhead, labels, envelopes, and note paper), Perfekt wanted to bring the elegant sensibility and simple color palette of their print materials to their web site, and Gothic Productions was happy to oblige.
